Subscription Boxes
1. What exactly is included in each Poetry Press box?
Each box contains one carefully selected poetry book, chosen according to your subscription type. You’ll also receive beautifully curated extras such as pens, bookmarks, printed quotations, exclusive discounts, and occasional themed surprises.
2. How often will I receive my box?
All Poetry Press subscription boxes are mailed at the beginning of the month and estimated to take between 3 - 5 working days to arrive. You should usually, therefore, receive your box within the first week of each month.
3. When will my first box arrive?
Your first box will ship with the next monthly dispatch date after purchase.
4. Do you ship internationally?
No, we currently only deliver within the UK.
5. Is shipping included in the price?
Yes, shipping is included within the price of the subscription plans.
6. Will I ever receive the same book twice?
We aim to ensure you never receive duplicate titles. If you do by chance receive a book you already own, contact us and we’ll offer an exchange, credit, or alternative solution.
7. Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely. You can send a subscription directly to the recipient, include a personalised message, and choose a non-renewing gift subscription if preferred.
8. Can I choose the books myself?
To maintain the element of surprise and quality curation, books are selected by our editorial team. However, feel free to tell us your preferences — themes, poets you love, or poets you’d like to avoid — and we’ll do our best to tailor your experience.
9. Can I pause, switch, or cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can pause, switch box types, or cancel at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting customer support. We do not offer refunds, however, after the first box has been despatched.
10. What happens if my box arrives damaged?
If your box or book arrives damaged, please email us with a photo and we’ll immediately send a replacement or offer a suitable resolution.
11. Are the books new?
Yes — all books included in our boxes are brand new, sourced from trusted publishers, independent presses, and select quality suppliers.
12. Are these boxes suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Whether you’re new to poetry or a long-time reader, we curate each box to be accessible, engaging, and inspiring.
13. Will the contents always match the subscription theme?
Yes. Each subscription box is curated specifically to align with its theme — Original, Love, Contemporary, or Classics.
14. Will the books be anthologies or individual collections?
Occasionally we will include anthologies with multiple authors but most months we focus on collections by individual poets.
15. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit/credit cards, PayPal, and other common payment methods depending on your region.
16. Do the subscriptions auto-renew?
Subscriptions do not automatically renew.
